The Traveler Guitar Escape EG-2 is a full-scale electric travel guitar with vintage looks and modern comfort for the traveling guitarist. With its 25 ½” full-scale length providing the playing experience of a full-sized guitar and the 3-ply pick guard & traditional double-cutaway body providing the classic look, you’ll forget you’re playing a travel guitar! At just 29 ½” long, the EG-2 stows easily in airline overhead compartments and weighs less than 5 pounds. Two precision-placed single-coil pickups feed into the EG-2’s built-in Pocket RockIt headphone amplifier, which is custom-designed to produce classic clean and distortion sounds through headphones or when plugged into an amplifier. Martin's Backpacker guitars are fully playable, compact travel guitars designed to meet the needs of musicians on the run. With a total weight of 2.5 pounds, the Backpacker guitar is lightweight and easy to carry. Ruggedly built to withstand the rigors of outdoor situations like camping, hiking and summer music festivals, you really can take one anywhere. For their size, both the original steel-string Backpacker and the newer nylon-string classical Backpacker have surprisingly rich and loud tone. Such tone is due primarily to the combination of a lightly braced solid soundboard with a solid mahogany neck, back and sides. Tuning machines on both models are the high quality chrome enclosed variety. The unique bridge on the classical model accepts either plain end or ball end classic strings.
